While cash transfers alone are not the solution, they can be an important element of an overall care package for children. Cash transfers are gaining increased support as a means to mitigate the impact of HIV and AIDS on children, and potentially decrease their risk of HIV infection. Regular and predictable cash transfers can provide a consistent income and help reduce the burden of care for households with children
