This report "represents the latest estimate of global mental health resources available to prevent and treat mental disorders and help protect the human rights of people living with these conditions. It presents data from 184 WHO Member States, covering 98% of the world’s population. Facts and figures presented in Atlas indicate that resources for mental health remain inadequate. The distribution of resources across regions and income groups is substantially uneven and in many countries resources are extremely scarce. Results from Atlas reinforce the urgent need to scale up resources and care for mental health within countries"

This resource provides informative guidelines about the socio-economic reintegration of mine victims. The guidelines have been divided into two major categories; the first category - pre-conditions for socio-economic reintegration - covers the topics of medical, psychological and rehabilitation services. The second category - target areas for socio-economic reintegration - includes psychosocial support, vocational rehabilitation, economic development, education and community integration and support. These guidelines are useful for policy makers and service providers interested in the socio-economic reintegration of landmine survivors

'Health sector workers respond to inadequate salaries and working conditions by developing various individual ‘‘coping strategies’’ - some, but not all, of which are of a predatory nature. The paper reviews what is known about these practices and their potential consequences (competition for time, brain drain and conflicts of interest)....[It] argues that...Governments will need to recognize the dimension of the phenomenon and systematically assess the consequences of policy initiatives on the situation and behaviour of the individuals that make up their workforce'
