This publication aims to analyze and disseminate good practices implemented throughout the project called "Improving access to employment for Young people with disabilities in the Greater Casablanca. " To assess the success of this project, it was needed to meet the people with disabilities that benefited from work placement in the companies. The following testimonies come from smiling, dynamic people who, thanks to a stable employment, are able to project into the future.Their disability has become "a detail": for their Colleagues, they are Anouar, Zineb, Mustafa, Anas, Yasmine ... competent staff who as everyone in the company brings an added value. Rabii And Sanaa, who both work as inclusion agents at the AMH Group and in the association called ANAÏS, contributed greatly to these personal and professional achievements. Every day they accompany, advise, facilitate training, prepare disabled young people for the labor market, but they also approach companies and propose nominations. The career paths exposed in this publication are encouraging towards continuing their efforts, along with ANAPEC and the other players at stake in the inclusion sector: not only professional, but also every Moroccan companies and the CGEM, to allow Young people with disabilities to access to stable and rewarding work places. As for the companies, the results speak for themselves: trained human resources departments, formalized action plans to implement disability policies, CSR targets achieved, and skilled employees providing added value to the teams.
Limited attention has been given to helping educators to deal with the new challenges posed by the epidemic. Even less attention has been given to protecting educators from HIV infection and to providing care, treatment and support for educators infected with or affected by HIV and AIDS. There are also very few programmes addressing the needs of other education sector personnel, such as planners, managers and support staff. This publication presents an overview of discussions, evidence and proposals contributed to the Stigma-AIDS eForurm by both experts and people living with HIV and AIDS, and moderated by Health and Development Networks (HDNet). Three major areas are covered: HIV stigma and place, including the work place, health care services and religious settings; HIV stigma and people living with HIV/AIDS, addressing self-stigma and injection drug users; HIV stigma and society, with a focus on the role of the media. Each topic includes a brief commentary and sets out specific recommendations. It is aimed at individuals, organisations and policy makers willing to learn about practical approaches to reduce HIV/AIDS-related stigma
This paper describes how organisations take into account, or mainstream, disability and/or HIV and AIDS in their work. In the introduction, guest writer Nora Groce discusses the link between disability and HIV/AIDS and the similarities between the issues. The next chapters examine different forms of mainstreaming, and then discuss the arguments for and against mainstreaming disability and/or HIV/AIDS. Chapter 3 deals with the basic principles of the mainstreaming process. Chapter 4 discusses the integration of the disability and/or HIV/AIDS factor in development activities. This includes activities of and with partners in the South, ie socio-economic projects, awareness raising and training activities in the South. It discusses how mainstreaming implicates the representation and participation of persons with a disability and/or living with HIV or AIDS, and the relevant interest organisations representing both groups, in the initial phases of the project as well in implementation. Chapter 5 deals with mainstreaming in organisational policy. There is a need for Northern NGOs as well as Southern partners to actively adapt their policy to take into account disability and/or HIV/AIDS. Both themes should be integrated into the whole organisational structure, and taken into account when setting up activities and in workplace policy
