The World Bank

Five Institutions make up the World Bank Group.  These are:

• The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development
• The International Development Association
• The International Finance Corporation
• The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency
• The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes

The World Bank has two goals:

• End extreme poverty within a generation
• Boost shared prosperity

Today's World Bank, poverty reduction through an inclusive and sustainable globalisation remains the overarching goal of their work.
