This is a small non-profit organisation composed of educators, health personnel and environmentalists. It carries out community-based development projects addressed at indigenous communities in the rural and peri-urban areas of the Inka region of Peru, specifically addressed at women, children and adolescents. It supports such projects with IEC stratgies. It works for development in order to improve the quality of life of indigenous people

NMAC aims to develop leadership of colour within communities to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS. NMAC's Public Policy Division works to promote sound national HIV/AIDS, health and social policies that are responsive to the needs of the diverse communities impacted by HIV/AIDS. The technical assistance team conduct individual, on-site Community Based Organization (CBO) management and organizational needs assessments in order to support long-term organizational health of front-line AIDS service organizations. They provides in-depth training and conferences opportunities to AIDS service organizations across the country, and produce publications including a quarterly newsletter, NMAC Lifeline. ASAS is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation formed of christians, which aims to provide support for PLAs, their families and friends. ASAS targets people from low income backgrounds in particular and fights for their rights as citizens and against discrimination and prejudice. ASAS also works in the area of prevention of STIs/HIV/AIDS. The resource centre is open to the public

The ojectives are to undertake, sponsor or co-ordinate the training for rehabilitation personnel; to conduct, sponsor , co-ordinate or subsidise research on biomedical engineering, surgical or medical procedures for orthopedically handicapped; to promote, distribute, subsidise the manufacture of prototype designed aid appliances; to develop models of service delivery programmes for rehabilitation; to undertake vocational training, placement and rehabilitation of the physically handicapped; to document and disseminate information on disability and rehabilitation in India and abroad; and to undertake any other action in the area of rehabilitation. Jagori is an oganisation working with the women's movement in India. They have taken up many of the issues the women's movement raised and intorduced issues for it to absorb. Jagori undertakes a variety of activities including offering training courses, organising campaigns, producing materials and runnind a resource and documentation centre.
