Christian Aid is an agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland. It works wherever the need is the greatest, irrespective of religion. It supports local organisations to undestand local needs. It strives for a new world, transformed by an end to poverty, and campaigns to change the rules that keep people poor
The Christian Aid resources centre has a collection of more than 5,000 books and 90 journals, specialising in economic and social development. The subject areas covered include HIV/AIDS, agriculture, environment, poverty reduction, gender, conflict, emergencies, Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PME), capacity building, trade issues and land reform. There is a fully searchable database of 17,000 records, including books, documents, journals, videos, articles, websites and archive materials (not available through the website). The services are targeted at Christian Aid staff, but visitors with an appointment are welcome. The library is open Monday - Friday, 10am - midday, and 2 pm - 4pm

CABI's mission is to help improve human welfare worldwide through the dissemination, application and generation of scientific knowledge in support of sustainable development, with emphasis in agriculture, forestry, human health and the management of natural resources, and with particular attention to the needs of developing countries. The CABI resource centre is open to the public

UNAIS recruits skilled people to work in locally initiated and managed development projects, acting in response for skills that are not available locally

Provides support and help for French speaking people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS and living in the UK. It aims to faciliate the integration of french speaking PLAs into pre-existing structures and services that the UK offers. Organises a helpline, meetings and private visits with PLAs Medical consultations can be arranges by volunteer doctors. For People experiencing dificulties in understanding English linguistic assistance can be provided. The resource centre is not open to the public

Its mission is to improve the quality of life of adults and children living with or affected by HIV, primarily in resource-limited countries and communities. It empowers health care providers, through education, training and consultancy, to develop appropriate HIV/AIDS care and rehabilitation services. As a Christian organisation it is committed to excellence in its innovative, culturally sensitive training programmes, holistic models of care and evidence based best practice. Its resource centre is not open to the public

The International Childcare Trust supports projects with the aim of enabling them to become self-sufficient. The main focus is on children in threatening situations
