Impact's aim is that no-one should become disabled through disease, lack of knowledge or shortage of medical services. With effective delivery of today's know-how, it believes that, given the will and resources, it should be possible to reduce by one third the incidence of avoidable disability in developing countries, while at the same time helping to break the link between ageing and disability in industrialised countries like their own

African Books Collective, founded, owned and governed by African publishers, seeks to strengthen indigenous African publishing through collective action and to increase the visibility and accessibility of the wealth of African scholarship and culture. ABC markets and distributes African published books globally outside Africa, and publishes resource material for African book and publishing communities. ABC stocks largely English language titles in 56 subject disciplines, including health and development. Some 150 new titles are added each year. There is an emphasis on scholarly and academic books, literature, and general culture titles. There are a small number of children’s titles in Swahili, and some titles in French.

The Africa Book Centre Limited was founded on 1 April 1989 to provide books and music from and about the continent of Africa. They ship to most countries in the world (see terms and conditions). The emphasis is on post-colonial and current culture and society. Includes African languages and linguistics, and children's books and music. Currently is operating solely as a mail order bookseller

Mental Health Media develop and deliver a range of projects which aim to educate and give people the tools and skills to understand and address issues of mental health. They also work with journalists and broadcasters to inform their coverage of mental health issues. Mental Health Media and Rethink have founded the Mental Health Shop to provide a one-stop shop for information and resources on mental health. Comic Relief exists to tackle poverty and promote social justice by helping disadvantaged people in the UK and Africa to realise their aspirations and potential. They do this by raising funds and awareness, and allocating funds donated by the public to charitable projects across the UK and Africa
