CHETNA aims to empower children to become active partners for for their own, their families and communities' health and development; to enhance adolescents and women's health status by empowering them to gain control over their own health and development concerns; to support organisations that work in the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, through strengthening their capacities to implement and manage affective health education and development programmes for children, adolescents and women. The CHETNA resource centre is open to the CHETNA staff and students CHETNA are partners in the Communication for Health India Network (CHIN). CHETNA regularly develops need based publications - primarily in Gujarati, Hindi and English. The material is extensively, field-tested and efforts are made to ensure that it is gender sensitive, easy to understand and use, as well as relevant. To enhance the readability and ensure that it is user friendly, the text is written creatively in form of story/song/drama etc. and accompanied by attractive illustrations. The publications are widely disseminated throughout India, and can also be ordered online.

We are a leading Southern African disability-focused network engaged in coordination of activities of organisations of Persons with Disabilities in the Southern Africa region. The organisation was formed in 1986 by persons with disabilities as a federation of Disabled Peoples Organisations (DPOs) with a strong presence in 10 countries. In each of these countries, we coordinate our programs and activities through national federations of DPOs, as follows:

- Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Angola (FAPED);
- Botswana Federation of Disabled People (BOFOD);
- Lesotho National Federation of the Disabled (LNFOD);
- Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (FEDOMA);
- Forum of Associations of Disabled People in Mozambique (FAMOD);
- National Federation of People with Disabilities in Namibia (NFPDN);
- Disabled People South Africa (DPSA);
- Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Swaziland (FODSWA);
- Zambia Federation of Disabled (ZAFOD); and
- Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Zimbabwe (FODPZ).

The Partnership held planning workshops in its four pilot countries (Kenya, Colombia, Indonesia, and Ghana) that brought together representatives from philanthropy, governments, and the United Nations, to identify country-specific opportunities to collaborate on achieving global development goals. Programme on Women’s Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (PWESCR) is an international initiative in the area of gender and economic, social and cultural rights. PWESCR works to promote women’s human rights, especially in the context of economic, social and cultural rights by bringing a gender framework to policy, law and practice at local, national, regional and international levels through ever-evolving strategies and activities in both conceptual and practical realms. Kisumu Disabled Self help Group is a community development organization, non-partisan, non-political, non-profit making organization based in western Kenya. KDSHG started its operations beginning of 2003 as a non-profit self help group. We recognize that successful community initiatives sponsored locally or internationally depend on an enabling system that builds community capacity. An executive Board of 8 members runs the Organization. The Board composition includes members who are recognized for their leadership in their respective fields of activity

The organization works closely with the relevant government ministries at all levels, other NGO’s/CBO’s, Aid and development agencies whose interest concerns promotion and improvement of quality of life for men and women in rural and urban poor communities. Since inception the organization has been able to implement the following projects: civic education and awareness programs, leadership development, community health projects and social entrepreneurship programmes

KDSHG engages people with disabilities in social entrepreneurship in which we integrate livelihood into health efforts. We train PWD in business and technical skills, mentoring them into business venture then providing them with seed funds for start up businesses or boost the existing ones. During these trainings, we also build their capacity in HIV/AIDS/RH.

KDSHG advocates for the rights of PWDs through civic education and awareness. KDHSG also implement programmes that focus on socio-economic empowerment of orphans and vulnerable children. We educate them, provide them with basic needs and address their health issues among others. KDSHG implements programmes that address community health in general. These programmes focus on HIV/AIDS and other STIs prevention, reproductive health and drug and alcohol abuse
