"Research work at the BIM deals with a broad range of human rights relevant topics. Based on its work since 1993 and in light of upcoming developments within the international human rights discourse the BIM focuses its expertise on the following areas:

Women’s Rights, Child Rights, Anti-Trafficking
Human Rights Education / Education for Democratic Citizenship

Besides the topic-wise structured focuses current human rights questions at international, European and national level are on the institute's research agenda, specifically dealt with in events and publication projects"
