The purpose of this journal is to make existing knowledge on mental health and psychosocial support in areas of conflict explicit and accessible to all interested parties, both in areas of armed conflict and elsewhere. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles that are relevant to professionals working in conflict affected areas, and to those working with refugees from areas of armed conflict throughout the world. The journal also welcomes papers on mental health and psychosocial support in settings with limited formal resources of chronic adversity that are not directly related to war or violence, as well as papers situated within complex humanitarian emergencies.
