The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian organization. Its work focuses on four core areas: promoting humanitarian values, disaster response, disaster preparedness, and health and community care. Advocacy and capacity building are also key components of its work. It also leads and supports a number of HIV and AIDS initiatives, including memory work. It works to strengthen the local response, supports HIV prevention programmes, provides home care for PLWHA and in collaboration with other partners helps AIDS orphans to cope with the consequences of the disease
