The AIDS Support Organization (TASO)

TASO aims to contribute to the reduction of HIV incidence and promote the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda..Its objectives are to offer counselling to PLAs and their families; to train counsellors for TASO and other organisations; to build and supprot community-based efforts to respond ot the HIV epidemic; to complement government medical services in the treatment of opportunistic infections; to minimise illnesses associated HIV infection; and to promote positive attitudes toards PLAs. Their resource centre is open to the public
